Chinese New Year is celebrated at the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. The festival is usually referred to as the Spring Festival or Lunar New Year in Asia. The words that come to mind during this season is red, ang pow yee-sang, lion dances and firecrackers to name a few.
